Patshuro is a 3D artist whose work combines religious and social iconography with pop culture references to create statuesque figures in his digital artwork. His references to Abrahamic religions, particularly Christianity, and classical art, are depicted in what seems like a parallel universe where futurism, homoeroticism, hypersexuality, and camp reign supreme. While very much informed by the mythological personification of human ideas and emotions, his irreverent style of image-making can be described as a direct assault on the holy and sacrosanct, weaving together the layered references of young people navigating a world informed by battling concepts and ideologies, some as ancient as religion, and some as recent as the internet.
